Even though students split class time on and off campus, there are many reasons to spend your free time here at school pursuing your passions, making friends, and taking the next step toward your future.
What is campus life like?
Here, you’re not just a face in the crowd. We’re a small school, and we all get to know each other well. Our mixed classes and labs mean kids of all grade levels mingle, make friends, help each other with lessons, and look out for one another. We celebrate individuality and diversity here, so it’s a good chance you’ll feel like you fit right in as soon as you set foot on campus.

As part of the Albuquerque Charter School League, Northpoint’s sports teams compete against other charter schools. Available athletic offerings change depending on the interest of our students, but we regularly offer girls and boys teams for basketball, volleyball, and soccer. If you play a sport we don’t currently offer, you can still play for another school’s team or pursue professional athletic goals while enrolled at Northpoint.
Extracurricular Activities
In addition to sports, we have clubs that regularly meet after school, like our board game club and our competitive e-sports video game team. Our yearbook club spends all year documenting life at Northpoint and honing their media arts skills. If you love science, you can participate in the Governor’s STEM Challenge for a chance to win a cash prize.
Student council is open to anyone who’s interested in participating, and they’re always coming up with exciting new events like movie nights, talent shows and, yes, even dances. There’s a Homecoming and Winter Ball every year, and an off-campus Prom that is open to all students.
And if you we don’t offer something you’re interested in, you can still take part in activities such as ROTC, band, or orchestra through the New Mexico Activities Association, or start your own club here at Northpoint.
