Start College Early with Dual Enrollment

Northpoint can give graduates the tools to step right into a career.

At Northpoint Charter School, students don’t have to wait until graduation to begin preparing for a career or earning a college degree.

Through our dual enrollment partnerships with Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) and the University of New Mexico (UNM), high school students interested in greater academic challenge can take college courses starting in 10th or 11th grade. All college classes count toward high school graduation, so students can get a head-start on their future without doing double work.

For those ready to take on the challenge, it’s possible to graduate from Northpoint with a two-year associate degree already in hand, as well as professional certifications and the experience to move directly into a chosen career field or continue with confidence toward pursuing a bachelor degree.

Career-Ready Pathways Available Now

Students who complete an associate degree or certificate while enrolled at Northpoint are positioned to enter the workforce immediately after high school if they choose. Many career pathways are accessible with a two-year credential earned through CNM or UNM, including:

Healthcare

Helping others doesn’t require an eight-year degree. Dual enrollment students can prepare for roles such as:

Through CNM’s Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, students can begin hands-on training in trade-specific skills such as:

Tuition-Free and Financially Smart

Most dual enrollment program expenses are covered by Northpoint, including textbooks and tuition. This allows students to earn meaningful college credit with no student loan debt. Those who continue their education after high school may also be eligible for financial assistance through programs like the New Mexico Opportunity Scholarship and Lottery Scholarship.
